Red Dog Linings

Lawrence Febvre has joined Red Dog Linings as a Trainee Estimator and CAD Planner. Lawrence, from Ipswich, lived in Plymouth for 3 years whilst studying at the University of Plymouth where he completed his BEng (Hons) Marine Technology earlier this year.

Red Dog Linings will be attending Glasstec 2018 on Tuesday 23rd October 2018 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

 

glasstec 2018 begins in just a few weeks with 1,250 exhibitors from over 50 nations expected to attend the anniversary event of the world’s leading trade fair for the glass industry.

Red Dog Linings has successfully transitioned to the more rigerous ISO9001:2015 accreditation.

As part of it’s ongoing commitment to high quality standards Red Dog Linings has this year been through reassessment of it’s quality procedures and has passed the new level of accreditation.

The Red Dog Linings team will be attending quarrying exhibition Hillhead 2018 on Thursday 28th June 2018 at Hillhead Quarry in Buxton, Derbyshire, UK.

Hillhead is famous for its live demonstrations and 2016 proved to be no different with a wide range of equipment being put through its paces in the quarry.

Andy Eccles, Press Brake operator at Red Dog Linings has received the annual Employee of the Year award. The award is voted for, each year, by everyone within the business in memory of previous colleagues across the business who have passed away.

Andy has been with the business 13 years this year and as part of in company training he has worked in a number of roles within the business.

Connor Cook - Fabrication apprentice

Red Dog Linings, abrasion resistant solutions manufacturer based on Carlton Road Industrial Estate in Barnsley has expanded its apprenticeship programme. The company employs over 80 people and currently employs 2 apprentices, exports products worldwide but is seeing a resurgence in the UK business which includes industrial refurbishment and roll reclamation for the steel industry.

Richard Finnerty Apprenticeship

Richard Finnerty, 22, from Wakefield has completed his Electrical Apprenticeship with Red Dog Linings.  The 4 year apprenticeship with Wakefield College and the Skills Exchange means that Richard has been promoted to Electrician and now holds a NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
